Schools to link with universities
Every secondary school in England is to be partnered with a university, John Denham is to announce.

The problem with this is the fact that most universities are going to link themselves with high achieving schools, meanwhile leaving lower academic schools linked with lower achieving universities. At the moment all the universities in England are listed in achievement order I think from 1-138 (I'm pretty sure that's how many there are, but not 100%) so most students that are high achievers are aiming to get their place at a university in the top 50, some won't take any lower than the top 30, so this leaves the universities placed lower than 100 with a problem filling their places!
I personally don't see how these new suggestions in changes are going to work, but the government will do what they want to do anyway regardless of outcome.
