HP BATTERIES RECALLED
Hewlett-Packard has recalled 135,000 battery packs for its laptop computers, citing a fire hazard.

Recall Battery Laptop Hp
Yikes! I need to check my battery. I have a HP Compaq Presario. My fiance works at Best Buy and said that somebody the other day had one actually explode on them while they had it in their lap. They apparently tried to sue Best Buy, but wasn't able to because it wasn't their fault. I'll take mine out later tonight and double check it. I should be all right because I bought mine after May 2005.

Yet another recall has been issued for HP OEM batteries. I am not sure who HP has actually making their batteries but at least it is only 15,700 this time.
