You have to give Al Gore credit. As VP he knew that oil was big business. Had he been elected as President then he would of had a big say over it. The man lost the election (after Clinton) against Bush by probably what was the smallest margin in history and so with what could have been a depressed case he comes back with environmentalism (in opposition to oil) as his staff and hollywood green eyed producers as his backbone. Throw in a few scientists who love the topic and you have the mixture for a great recipe that sells 'eco friendly' plans to divert money from one direction and put it in the next, maybe his pocket. You have to love creativity and ingenuity.

Gore challenges US to ditch oil
US ex-vice-president Al Gore tells Americans to abandon electricity generated by fossil fuels in 10 years - an idea critics dismiss.

I think this is a interesting challenge to the US. To stop using all carbon based fuels to produce electricity is interesting. Can it be done? I think so but we have to get out of the it is impossible mind set that many have. I know it will not be easy but I believe we can make a lot of progress to get it done in the next few years. Plus with other technology coming up we may be able to get it done in less than 10 years. Either way it should be interesting.
GORE will make billions off Cap n Trade
Steve Milloy, author of Green Hell and founder of junkscience.com, joined Glenn to talk about how Al Gore really does care about everything green -- not the environment kind of green, but the money kind of green. Al Gore has already made a fortune off the green movement and now he stands to make billions of dollars if Cap and Trade is passed. It's almost like he has another motive to go green other than saving the Earth. How will he make billions? Ref. Source 1
Kind of a "no-brainer." Al Gore isn't stupid. He hasn't been touring the world for free, and he's certainly not the only one involved in this speaking circuit. I think he's the front-man for some really big players, and they are all going to make a major killing in the carbon-trading stock market. Isn't that how you make money? Be the first one in, sell like crazy to people (suckers) after you, then bail out right before it all falls apart. They'll make money for decades before that happens.
Oh, and the sweetest part of the deal? Make sure the government not only legalizes the whole mess but *requires* every business and individual in the country to participate.
Brilliant. And absolutely corrupt.

Al Gore - Courts in England
Al Gore was giving a speech recently and doing something he rarely does -- taking questions. When one of the questioners asked him about the 9 factual errors in Gore's film, Gore laughed him off and gave a weak answer to the charge. A few moments later, the questioner had his microphone shut off. Apparently he didn't know he was talking to Mr. 'the debate is settled' himself, Al Gore. Ref. Source 7
More Gore hypocrisy
This morning on Good Morning America host Diane Sawyer became the first person (at least that we know of) who has challenged Al Gore on his love for meat. His precious IPCC report says not eating meat is one of the top ways to curb global warming. Gore's response was less than convincing. Apparently old Al isn't used to being questioned. When he does, he usually just has the questioner shut off the mic. What was his answer? Ref. Source 6
Gore's book a toolbox for fixing climate crises
"The clock is ticking with respect to solving the crisis," Gore, 59, said Thursday as he sat in pinstripes and black cowboy boots in an environmentally certified conference room, with glass walls and white surfaces. Our Choice, A Plan to Solve the Climate Crisis, which debuted Tuesday, "offers us the tools to find a way out." Ref. Source 4
