Well, indirectly yes. The choice of a spouse tells a lot about someone so I would probably take a look at who is the spouse, what kind of lifestyle he/she lives, etc.

A spouse can influence a critical decision and I would want to ensure that the person I vote for is making a correct decision and not on based on nagging or domestic threats, so yes I would want to know just as much about the spouse before I cast my vote.
