Here is a good question to get to know everyone. Were you born into the church or did you convert?
I am a convert. I was baptized when I was almost 12 years old. I met the missionaries when I was 4 years old, they used to come home to give the discussions to my uncle and I used to go to Church activities whenever they invited us. My uncle only agreed with us taking the discussions when we were older enough to understand what we were being taught, hence I was baptized at that age.
I was born into the Church, was baptized at eight and wasn't converted until about twelve when I first read The book of Mormon. Every time I read it, it seems I am reconverted or converted a little more.
I am a very recent convert to the Church. I was baptized Sept. 3 2007 at age 17. I am the only member of the Church in my family. I was raised Catholic. I rejected my family's faith when I was a Freshman In high school. I was an atheist for 2 1/2 years of my life. I had developed a mindset of "rational skepticism" which I struggle with almost weekly. But with the help of the missionaries, the Branch President, and the amazing friend who brought me The Gospel, I am growing in the faith.
Hello Everyone...
I'm new to this site.
I was born into the church (at least 4 generations, maybe 5). I sometimes think of how different my life would be if I weren't. I cant imagine where I would be if I weren't a member.
The Church is more than just a religion, it's a culture, a way of life. It defines who and what I am.
