Five Elements And Four Winds

On almost all the continents people have mentioned the five elements that constitute creation. Air in the East, Fire in the South, Water in the West and Earth in the North. And of course the Spirit in the Centre. These also represent the Four Winds, and may be our inner Breath. There are many symbols of this model, The Pentacle, The Pyramid and even the Ancient Cross.
Can anyone give examples of where they have come across these elementals or their influence?

Harkon I would not know if I ever did how does one recognize the influence of an elemental or even the elemental for that matter.

If the Spirit counts then I would say perhaps the power of prayer would be one that I can testify to. In finding a lost dog once was the strangest occurrence for me.

My neighbor's dog had run away and it was loved buy all who knew it I was around 16. My mom and I prayed for its safe return and that night I dreamt it was in a field near an old bridge I often caught trout at. I woke it was around 3 am so I felt so sure it was there. My mom heard me leaving so joined me as she was not about to let her baby out on the road at that time by myself. Sure enough I drove to the bridge got out and we called and he came running.

The five elements and the four winds are a part of us as anything else. The spirit especially since it embodies us and our beliefs. Having the four other elements a part of us is a given too. We breathe the air, we are a mixture of fire, water and earth. If we were missing just one part we would not be who we are now. We as humans embody the five elements.

sitting through a storm you experience the power of the air along with some water and fire, Sitting through a earthquake or watching a volcano one gets the sense of the power of earth mixed with fire with a volcano. Watching a flood take over the lands can show you the power of the water. Watching how people come together after a disaster shows you the true power of the spirit

The power of an advancing tide, the energy infused in an ancient rockface, how the air supports the graceful bird and sun gives life to the shoots of spring.
It is all held together by the grace of its Creator and the Love of Nature.
