Is Drew Peterson A Murderer?

Stacy Peterson - Page 4

I consider this case to be very fascinating. It reveals a story of an unstable individual, who knows how to manipulate the system to his own advantage. Clearly the man got away with the murder of his wife number 3 Kathleen Savio and the question is, will he get away again with murder? Let us examine all the facts.

Stacy Peterson is Drew Peterson's fourth wife. She promised her relatives to assist with painting a house but never showed up. Her sister, Cassandra Cales, filed a missing person report with the police. My question is, why did the sister file the report and not the husband? I suppose the argument would be, Drew believed that his wife ran off with another man. However, Cassandra, sister of Stacy, believes that her sister would not leave her children behind. Her sister is also the type of person who would call too and she never did.

Now that Stacy Peterson is receiving so much attention, it is interesting to note that the body of the third wife, Kathleen Savio, was ordered to be exhumed. Why? The police were looking for a pattern of violence where Drew Peterson was concerned. His third wife, mysteriously died in a dry bath tub and her death was never investigated since it was ruled as accidental by a pathologist. Interesting. Kathleen's family strongly believed that their daughter was indeed murdered.

A former employee of Drew's, witnessed bruises and other marks of violence on Kathleen's body. On many occasions, he would ask Kathleen how she was and her response would be the same: "Not good. We are not getting along!" Kathleen's family also claim that their daughter feared for her life, while being married to Drew Peterson.

One woman, Kyle Piry, would have been wife number two except she showed excellent judgment by calling off her engagement to Drew, twenty five years ago. While dating Drew, she describes him as funny, charming and intelligent. Her family also liked him. However, when she was engaged to him, his demeanour had changed. He became very possessive and extremely controlling. Kyle believed that she was far too young for this and could not cope with how Drew was behaving and decided to call off the engagement. Two weeks after, she got into a fight with Drew and it became physical. She contacted the police. The policeman happened to be a friend of Drew's and he convinced Kyle not to press charges. Kyle also complains about being harassed and stalked by Drew for one and a half years, after she broke up with him.

When Dr Phil interviewed Drew, he tried the oldest trick in the book by using history as an explanation for Stacy's behaviour. He claimed that Stacy's mother left when Stacy was only sixteen years old. Dr Phil pointed out that the circumstances were different. Stacy's mother was addicted to alcohol and lost two children: one to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and the other to a house fire.

It is interesting to note that there are so many people who could confirm that Drew's third and fourth wives were living in fear and strongly believed that Drew would kill them. Drew seems to be attracted to very young girls in their twenties. Usually when men are very violent and controlling, they normally select women who are much younger than them. Why? Well young girls are easier to manipulate and control than older women. Sometimes, there are some controlling and violent men who are unable to maintain a normal, health relationship with women their own age. They prefer to prey on innocent, naive and younger women.

Dr Phil focused on Stacy Peterson on his show last week. Here are more details about what was discussed on his show:

Drew Peterson has set a web site to ask for donations to cover his legal fees.

QUOTE
BOLINGBROOK, Illinois (AP) -- A former police officer suspected in his wife's disappearance has set up a Web site to ask for financial help with his legal defense.

Drew Peterson's site says he wants to collect money from people who believe he deserves a defense without going broke.

"For the cost of a few cups of your morning coffee, you can help to ensure that Drew can afford to support his ongoing legal defense, find his missing wife, and divert any remaining funds into a trust for his children," the site says.

Peterson's attorney, Joel Brodsky, said any money collected on DefendDrew.com will go into a trust account over which Peterson will have no control.

Brodsky said it will be used first to pay for legal fees and then to hire a private investigator to look for 23-year-old Stacy Peterson, who vanished in late October. Any remaining money will be put into a trust for Peterson's four dependent children, the Web site says.

Peterson, 53, a longtime member of the Bolingbrook Police Department until he quit after his wife disappeared, has denied any involvement in her disappearance. He has said he believes his wife left him for another man and is alive.

Investigators from several agencies continued their underwater search of a canal just south of Bolingbrook on Tuesday, said Trooper Mark Dorencz. Authorities have not said why they are searching the canal....

It never ceases to amaze me how low people are willing to stoop. The man is as guilty as sin; he claims that his wife ran off with another man; when the media is outside his house, instead of being annoyed, he dances for them and now he wants assistance for his legal fees! Well at least we know who will be digging deep into their pockets this Christmas to help Drew Peterson: other corrupted police officers, who are just like him!

Did you know that a gun went off in the house before Stacy went missing? According to Drew: Stacy loved guns and he even got her one for Valentine's day, in fact it was while she was handling a gun that it went off accidentally. Oh please... everything about this guy is suspicious.

Now here is the other thing... on Nancy Grace they are saying that Stacy used to go see a Minister and often dressed 'sexy' going in as much as just a bikini top. They are saying that these kinds of things would never make their way into a courtroom.

Yet another, why does Drew feel he has to talk with the media so much?

It sounds to me that someone in Drew's defense team is leaking information of this kind, typical: Make the victim look as the guilty one.

The million dollar question: Why Drew Peterson transferred nearly a quarter of a million dollars to his son in the weeks after the disappearance of Stacy?

QUOTE
Prosecutors subpoenaed bank records that show Drew Peterson funneled the money to his son, Steve Peterson, an Oak Brook, Ill., police officer, after Stacy Peterson was reported missing on Oct. 28.

Steve Peterson twice has testified before a grand jury investigating the disappearance of Stacy Peterson, 23, a mother of two, but declined to comment on the financial transactions.

Sources said Drew Peterson, 58, transferred to Steve Peterson nearly $250,000 from several bank accounts, including joint accounts he held with his wife. He reportedly wrote as many as six checks, with one for more than $150,000, investigators said.

Drew Peterson declined to comment but his attorney, Joel Brodsky, said, "I"m sure if that's true, and I don't even know whether or not it is, I"m sure that there are legitimate reasons for it."

One legal expert said the former Bolingbrook, Ill., police sergeant may be trying to protect his assets in case he is sued.

The sister of Kathleen Savio, Drew Peterson's third wife who was found dead in an empty bathtub, said the family is considering filing a wrongful death lawsuit against Drew Peterson, who was in the process of divorcing Savio at the time of her death in 2004...

Why is Drew so concerned about getting his guns and other stuff back? His wife is missing! If he is innocent as he says he is, then he should be worried about the mother of his children!

QUOTE
A judge ruled against former police officer Drew Peterson's request Monday to get his 11 guns, two cars and computers back after investigators seized them in connection to this disappearance of his wife.

Peterson, a suspect in the disappearance of his 23-year-old wife Stacy, wants his items returned but won't see them anytime soon.

The judge will reconsider Peterson's request at a January hearing.

"Forensics are very intricate, detailed," Joel Brodsky, Drew Peterson's attorney, told The Associated Press after a five-minute hearing. "It's only been seven weeks and we're happy the judge is going to keep a leash on them."

Stacy was reported missing on Oct. 29 after she failed to show up at a friend's house. Drew Peterson has denied any involvement in her disappearance, but police have named him a suspect.

Peterson will get his iPod and music CDs back on Jan. 1. Another hearing to review the return of more items is scheduled for Jan. 21.

Meanwhile, Peterson's lawyer wants a special prosecutor to review leaks from a grand jury.

Details from unnamed sources have leaked out of a Will County grand jury reviewing the investigation. Joel Brodsky, Peterson's attorney, says he wants a judge to appoint a special prosecutor to find out the source of the leaks...

Well, without a body found and more questions than answers it seems like Drew Peterson will literally get away with murder.

QUOTE
BOLINGBROOK, Ill. -  A mysterious blue barrel. Divers searching the murky, frigid waters of an industrial canal. A woman's body exhumed for clues three years after her death.

Nearly two months after Stacy Peterson was last seen, the investigation into her disappearance and suspicions surrounding her husband, former Bolingbrook police Sgt. Drew Peterson, have produced many intriguing questions. But few answers.

All the story lines, though, have led back to one house on a quiet street, and to Sunday, Oct. 28, the day the 23-year-old mother of two small children vanished.

The last time anyone outside the Peterson home talked to her was around 10:15 a.m., when she spoke briefly with a friend, Bruce Ziderich, about helping to paint an apartment he owned in nearby Yorkville.

Ziderich told her to wait until she heard from her sister, Cassandra Cales, before going to the apartment, according to Pamela Bosco, a longtime family friend.

After that, the trail goes cold.

Drew Peterson, 53, who resigned from the police department after being named a suspect in his wife's disappearance, has told reporters that when he awoke around 11 a.m., his wife already had left...

You know, I am not sure which is worse. Terrorists killing innocent people all over the world or criminals on the police force like Drew Peterson. It is clear that this man knows the system very well and is taking full advantage of it. Once again, another innocent person is killed and no one can account for her whereabouts. Well he got away with murdering his third wife and no one ever bothered with the family of the deceased (Kathleen's) concerns until now. I predict that Drew Peterson will indeed be acquitted for this murder. After all, OJ Simpson got away with killing his wife too!
