He may believe that but I doubt that it is true. I tend to follow actions more than anything else. If you are on your fifth marriage then something must be wrong with how you handle relationships! In this case there is doubt about the way he terminates his relationships.

He did not break the engagement, it was HER who broke it. The father is so happy, he was really afraid he may lose his daughter. Peterson did not allow them to remove her belongings, the police was called and even Dr. Phil's crew was there to ensure the belongings of the girls were out. She gave him back the engagement ring and the phone he gave her. She moved back into the apartment she had shared with her boyfriend of more than a year (don't ask, this girl has issues).

Drew Peterson's 24-year-old fiancee has returned to him their engagement ring and this morning moved out of his Bolingbrook home, according to the woman's father. Bolingbrook police were called to the home of the former Bolingbrook police sergeant about 10:30 a.m. To assist Christina Raines' move out. Police spokesman Lt. Ken Teppel said about five squad cars responded to a call by Raines' father, Ernie, who had come to Peterson's home earlier in the morning to help his daughter. Ernie Raines said his daughter has moved back into the apartment she had shared with her boyfriend of more than a year. She also returned to Peterson the engagement ring and a cell phone he bought for her. Peterson declined to comment on the details of the breakup but he did question the public's fascination with his relationship. "Isn't it hilarious that the citizens in the country are more interested in my love life than the impeachment of governor?" Peterson said. "We have an impeached governor and every time I go on a date, they're more interested in that. I'm boggled. This is beyond me. It's like Drew TV." Ernie Raines said he thought that an interview Peterson had done on "Nightline"--which aired Thursday--sparked her decision to leave him. He said his daughter called him Thursday afternoon--before the "Nightline" interview aired, but after snippets were circulating in the media--saying that she needed his help moving out of Peterson's house. But during his interview with the Tribune this afternoon Christina Raines yelled from the background: "I was leaving regardless!" Ernie Raines, who taped an episode of the "Dr. Phil Show" on Wednesday, said he knocked on Peterson's door with a CBS cameraman at about 10:30 a.m. "I couldn't go there without protection," he said. His daughter sat in her car while he talked to Peterson. "I was nervous because he was going to be mad," Christina Raines said in the background while her father spoke with the Tribune. According to Ernie Raines, Peterson would not let him inside to get his daughter's belongings. Ernie Raines then called Bolingbrook police, who eventually helped remove her belongings in garbage bags, boxes and bins. "I think she was finally realizing what was going on, that he was using her as a little trophy girlfriend to make money off her and try to get his name back in the media," said Mike, Christina Raines's boyfriend, who she has moved back in with. Well the world will be watching, if anything happens to her you know who's door they will be knocking on. It's obvious she got a few bucks out of it so not its time to go back to reality - whatever that is for her.

Okay folks. Here is the latest with Christina Raines being engaged to Drew Petterson. I was watching CBS Early Morning show, where Christina was being interviewed by Danielle (a chinese news anchorwoman). However Christina was not alone. Also being interviewed was Lisa Bloom host of Court TV and of course, Christina's father.
Anyway, I could not help but notice the expression on Christina's face throughout the interview. She looked like a teenager who was caught having sex at her boyfriend's house. When Danielle began to interview her, she was silent and looked perpetually embarrassed. Here are some of the questions that were asked:

| Danielle (News Anchorwoman): So how did you meet Drew Petterson? Christina hesitates and then carefully thinks of a response. Christina: I met him in a restaurant. Danielle: So how did you two get engaged? Christina looks very uncomfortable and a strained look of embarrassment crosses her face. Christina: Well....We were friends for a while. Danielle: Yes but how did you two get engaged? Christina: Well....It wasn't really an engagement. Danielle: Well what would you call it then? Christina: It was a stunt. Danielle: A stunt? Who thought about this stunt and what was the purpose of this stunt? Christina: It was Drew Petterson's idea. He wanted to get back into the media spotlight. Danielle: How did you break off the engagement? Christina: My ex-boyfriend Mike. Danielle: What did he do? Christina: Well he sat me down and said that something wasn't right here and he convinced me to leave Drew Petterson. Danielle: Did you know about Stacy Peterson? Danielle: Do you know where she is? Danielle: Do you know about Drew Petterson's third wife? While each question was being asked, Christina is hesitant, looks very sheepish and feebly answered that she did not feel comfortable answering those questions. |
Danielle begins to question Lisa Bloom, who was very anxious and willing to participate in the interview.

| Danielle: So legally, Drew Petterson could be engage but cannot be married? Lisa: Yes he can get engaged but legally he is still married to Stacy Petterson and therefore he cannot marry. In fact all her clothes are still in her closet at his house, isn't that right Christina? |
Once again the spotlight is on Christina who is practically wilting and looks as if she is ready to bolt. Christina also did not answer the question.
I think it was very good for the interview to take place. I believe that the news anchorwoman who trying to make Christina aware of the seriousness of her mistake or to put it simply, to show how foolish she was, to even be involved with this man. Lisa Bloom was very condescending with Christina. You could hear it clearly in her voice as she patronizing asks Christina about Stacy Petterson's clothes.
But what I considered amazing about this whole interview was, Christina's ex boyfriend Mike. This fellow is very courageous and must love Christina very much. Clearly, Christina does not seem to have a clue what she was doing and her ex-boyfriend Mike, seems to allow good sense to prevail and not allow his jealousy to control his emotions. It was wonderful for him to convince her to leave Drew and it was even more amazing that he took her back. Good to see that there are people in this world who still have an ounce of humanity and is willing to help others whenever it is necessary. It is still so hard to believe that this girl actually got engaged to Drew after all that has happened.
At the end of the interview, Christina's father wanted to talk even though the anchorwoman was ready to move onto another topic. He thanked the police and guess who? Dr Phil for assisting him in getting his daughter out of Drew Petterson's home.
I hope people who are the same age as Christina or even younger, were watching that interview. This could have ended in a tragedy but it didn't. The lesson to be learnt from this whole incident is you cannot allow yourself to be so gullible and trusting to others who are so dangerous. I am beginning to wonder if Christina even looks at the news or reads the newspapers!
