Is it true that you can easily run from a Crocodile if you run in a zig-zag?

According to Myth Busters you won't have to because Crocs do not chase you on land. They use ambush tactics in water, so if you are land and facing a Croc or Alligator for that matter then you just need to get away from the first explosive lunge and then you are safe.
