Hatred Vs Love

This is a very difficult question to answer. In the extreme, both of them are powerful. I do not think one is powerful over the other in that circumstance, having said that, hatred to the extreme will harm people maybe to a very serious extent.

I'd like to add that even in small amounts both love and hate can do massive good or irreversible damage.

Love can be very hard to accept, both for those experiencing it and those witnessing it. I know from personal experience that loving someone can hurt those closest to you, particularly if you love someone that does not meet certain criteria.

Hate on the other hand is widely accepted as being entirely destructive in any way, shape or potency. But, hate can make people stronger. By this I mean that when you are confronted by hate or despite there are ways of dealing with its destructiveness in order to transform it into something positive. It is futile to say that it is wrong to hate or wrong to love because both are human emotions. I feel very strongly that it is what you do with those emotions that counts.

Hatred Vs Love

I think in the extreme love will over power hate for one reason alone... hate seems to eat away at the person carrying it - it is draining, whereas love refills and refreshes. Of course that is a very basic analysis for such a deep Topic for consideration.

Hatred Vs Love

I perhaps and old fashion but love is concerned all. I think JB said it well with the fact love is fulfilling and that is what we humans seek. Thus for the object of our love there is no limit to what action we will take on its behalf. Hatred just consumes us till we are no more thus it limits the actions we will take on its behalf.

I have read stories about people who hate and they usually try to kill everyone around them. Wether you have lots of love or not you may die at the hands of a hater, so hate is probably strongest.

Love Vs. Hatred

I would say love is greater than hatred, going off the saying that: what it takes a year to build in a day can be destroyed in a second

so, depending on how you view it, hatred might also be greater, or just more physically manifest love builds, hatred destroys, take that as you will.

LOve and Hate are two emotions that use the same area of the brain. It is very easy to see why some say you can go from love to hate in a single step. IF you can love you can hate. LOve can cut like a knife through a lot of emotions just as hate can. Love can keep you high on emotions but so can hate. To think that one is more powerful than the other I would have to say no. They both have the same power. I view it as if you love me or hate me you are feeling the same emotion.

When people say that hate destroys things I think they are confusing hate with despising. A despiteful person will take what they view as hatred and destroy thing because they ultimently despise those things. Thus seek to cause it to cease its existence
