QUOTE PHILADLELPHIA - Jon and Kate Gosselin officially divorced Friday after 10 years of marriage, eight children and a year of tabloid headlines.
Kate Gosselin gets the family home in eastern Pennsylvania in the no-fault divorce agreement, according to her lawyer, Mark Momjian. She will also continue as the primary caretaker of the reality TV couple's 9-year-old twins and 5-year-old sextuplets.
"Divorce is always a difficult process, and in this case there's obviously the added challenge of being a celebrity and having to deal with the reality of such a large family," Momjian told The Associated Press. "But I know she is very excited about restructuring her life and looking forward to the new year."
Jon's lawyer, Mark Jay Heller, was traveling Friday and not available for comment, a spokesman said. The divorce agreement was first reported by TMZ.com.
The Gosselins - he is 32, she is 34 - worked out custody arrangements themselves but let an arbiter decide financial issues, Momjian said.
They filed for divorce in June, the same month they told viewers of TLC's "Jon & Kate Plus 8" about the split in an episode seen by more than 10 million people.
At the time, the Gosselins said the show had been a good thing for both them and their children, and they denied it played a role in their divorce. However, Jon Gosselin later insisted that the network stop filming his children, thwarting plans to segue the show into "Kate Plus Eight" and focus on her role as a single parent.
TLC has said it is developing a show for her that could debut this spring. Details have not been disclosed.
The network, meanwhile, has sued Jon Gosselin for breach of contract over allegedly paid appearances on rival networks, as well as over other issues....

Jon has a new girlfriend (one of many!). Her name is Morgan Christie and so far, she seems quite normal...But wait a minute, she was talking to some producers because she wants to do "something". Poor Jon, he really thought she was with him because she truly likes him?

But Kate is about to get everything she could want since the end of her marriage to Jon.
She and her eight children are staying strong and the mom is ready to charge forward with big plans to support her brood this year.
"Kate is taking advantage of every opportunity," a source close to Gosselin tells Fox411. "She is working her butt off, making payments on the house and finding new jobs and new projects that will pay her enough to secure the life she wants to provide the children. She is in demand and she wants to sustain the demand without overdoing it."
Meanwhile, Jon is struggling to slide out of the mess he created for himself when he forced filming of "Jon & Kate Plus Eight" to stop last year. Sources say he is in talks with TLC to reach an agreement to allow them to film the family again.
"Jon does not have money for the intense lawyer fees and ensuing battle with the media giant and Kate has asked him to reconsider his decision for the family," the source said. "She is willing to negotiate with him and TLC so that everyone gets what they want."
But while the former couple is working toward a professional relationship, don't expect them to become the best of friends any time soon.
"Kate was broken after the divorce and she is very slowly putting herself back together again," a friend tells Fox411. "They stick to discussions about the children and that is the purpose of their communication. It works best for Kate that way."

It is all for the kids. There is nothing else they could possibly do besides whore themselves behind the camera's lens a bit more...nothing! Just tell me the truth and I would feel so much better: Why are you doing the show again? Well, there is nothing I actually do as little work at and get paid as well for. Not to mention, I get a lot of attention and freebies! Plus, the money is for the kids....the cars...my new hair...my girlfriend getaways...my clothes...my entainment...I said the kid, right?

It is official. Kate Gosselin will participate in the new season of "Dancing with the Stars". I wonder who is the star? I mean, she is not an actress or a singer...What exactly is she? Anyhow, I am pretty sure Vincenzo will be hooked to the television set to see how she performs.
