Thanks Josh I wanted to get more of these so I do not look stupid. I have to admit that I heard this one before. Someone told me that it was to ensure that no caffine coke was available.

Comments: About a month ago I had the opportunity to visit Ensign Peak, the church organization in Salt Lake that handles all of the church's financial investments. When asked about whether or not the church had any restrictions on what they invest in, the director said, "We do not invest in any sin stocks (like gambling, tobacco, etc.) or in any cola companies (I.e. Coca Cola or Pepsi). He went on to explain that donations of stocks are immediately turned into cash and then invested according to model that the organization has developed (therefore even if we donate Coke or Pepsi stocks,the church will not keep them).
