Software Tester

Is a Software Tester an actual job or is it just incorporated with the software's development?

Believe it or not this in some cases is an actual job. I believe a lot of it depends on the size of the company. At the company I work for we do have a few dedicated software testing positions. But most other companies that I have worked with or worked for did not. In those cases they did rely on the developers to test their own software.
