OILERS WIN PRE-SEASON OPENER

The city of Winnipeg got a taste of NHL action Sunday night as the Edmonton Oilers shut out the Phoenix Coyotes 5-0 in the Manitoba capital.

Oilers aren't doing so hot this year. With an 8-12 start, they are at the bottom of the Northwest division. I watched them a couple nights ago on ESPN2, they are just awful. Even their good points are lucky. But they do take a shot well. Gregory Shamus got drilled and took it like he was getting paid to stand there! laugh.gif
