Another terrible and disturbing case of a pregnant woman who has been murdered and her fetus removed. The victim was 8 months pregnant.
QUOTE WORCESTER, Mass. - Police in central Massachusetts are trying to figure out who killed an expectant mother, removed a fetus from her womb and dumped her body in a closet. The fetus is missing.
Darlene Haynes was about eight months pregnant when she was last seen alive. Her body was discovered Monday after her landlord went to check on a report of a strong odor coming from her apartment in Worcester, New England's second-largest city.
Police say the 23-year-old Haynes was found wrapped in bedding. An autopsy shows her fetus was removed.
Police say the missing infant could survive but would need medical attention immediately....

I remember seeing this on one of those crime shows on tele and thinking, where do the writers think this stuff up. And now I know. It actually happens! Some deranged person out there who cannot have their own children and so desperate they kill for it. What fantastic role models they will be.
I do hope they find the baby alive. And its mother gets the justice of seeing her killers brought to justice!

Woman Convicted Who Killed Pregnant Mom, Cut Unborn Baby From Her Womb
Julie Corey, of Massachusetts, killed 23-year-old Darlene Haynes, who was in the eighth month of her pregnancy, and stole her baby. Now she's been convicted.
In 2009, Haynes" body was found when her landlord responded to complaints from neighbors. He found her body wrapped in a blanket and shoved in a closet of her apartment. Worcester Police Sgt. Kerry Hazelhurst told reporters that the baby girl appeared to be in "fairly good health" upon discovery. Ref. Source 4
