There Is No Clear Balance In The World

Am I living in a balanced world? this question has been haunting my mind since I was small. Growing in a country where racial discrimination is predominantly being a key factor to the lack of progression of the minority people like me is being the biggest challange in not just myself but many others like me in my own country and also those who suffers the same fate elsewhere in other part of the world. Malaysia is where I was born, its the most beautiful country I've ever known, tropical climate, thick green jungles with many fresh water rivers and waterfalls, spectacular sceneric islands with the best sandy beaches and crystal clear water. In fact I could say many magnificent things of how ideal it could be for a person in this world to stay in a heavenly paradise like Malaysia. But all these are just the physical appearance of the place where I was born. Malaysia is a predominantly muslim nation with roughly 65% consisting of Malays(the natives or commonly known as 'Bumiputras' who embraces islam as their religion) and 25% Chinese origins and barely 8% Indian origins who were specifically brought by the British people during the colonial rule which dates back more than 100 years ago as labourers, clerks, estate managers of plantations, railway workers and so forth due to the cheap labour and work efficiency. In 1957 Malaysia got independence and so officially Malaysians celebrated their 50th independence very recently but what really happened in these past 50 years is in fact no one in this world might really know except for people like me or those who might have been here. Malaysia is known to be one of the fastest growing developing nation in Asia, in fact so much of progress in uplifting the living standards of its people were implemented but to which kind of of people? The majority Malays have succesfully gone through the most tremandous makeover in the history of the nation based on my observation. Billions of dollars spent to bring forward their community from economic struggle, education and other basic requirements. But the minority Chinese and Indians did not share the fruit of their nation by any means. The only way I see those rich luxurious minority people being at the peak of the hirearky are those who really managed to learn to use the minimum sources available in quick brilliant ways before others grab the already depleting oppurtunities. As a matter of fact the Chinese are the largest minority in Malaysia and the exsistence of business predisposition from their forefathers when they first came to Malaysia helped them alot to remain strong in the current economic struggle.Their unity is in fact unquestionable in terms of economy and welfare of their community. The bottom line is that they somehow managed to resist the difficult conditions implemented by the government which clearly favours the muslim malays and abandoning other minorities to their fate.In order to cover up their motion of governing the nation in a much balanced and tolerated manner which makes the general public not voicing out their frustration is by giving one or two incentives from time to time like small projects with small financial aid to the public minorities. Its very hard to get into the local universities to study medicine, law, engineering and many other demanding fields. The government school exams handled differently whereby normally the Malays score equally high scores and ended up in perfect higher institution but for the rest, higher scores and other insignificant requirements needed to enter higher studies. The minorities are subjected to sit for higher studies pre-exams before they go for medical or law like fields by which perfect scores are required. As a matter of fact there are alot of students painstakingly getting perfect scores but after applying, ended up getting other fields like forestry and vetenary and so they ended up leaving the country and pursue studies abroad where poor families cannot afford. So basically from the beginning itself young minority Malaysians were clearly shown their future by this nation whereby we are not eligible, standing equally to share the fruit due to the prevalance of different religion, race and origin. Eventhough ifthe students somehow managed to obtain their degrees, getting a job is another question in Malaysia especially in government fields where it is entirely predominated by the muslim Malays. Chinese however are very fast in settling things like finding their way out by earning as much cash as possible by means of business.Of course starting business is not a problem since they are the business kings in Malaysia. So then, there comes this pitiful indian community, largely Tamilians( South Indian origins).Their fate is the worst, in fact as one of them I already came to a conclusion that the indian community in this country are the biggest losers! The condition is really bad that even I could not imagine how are we going to at least overcome this economic struggle. Its very clear that majority indians living in Malaysia classified as below avarage and of course we are the poorest as a matter of fact compared to other races. Nevertheless there are equally high numbers of indian doctors, lawyers, engineers, technicians and businessmen for a smaller comunity by which the ratio is unprecedently sky high in comparison to other races. But these are the successful indian minorities but the vast majority of others living in a very poorly managed economic situation with very low eduction for the kids or higher rater of school dropouts at a very young age.Literacy among this people is still considered to be low.Suicide rates very high and besides that, gangterism and robberies are being like a big cancer of the community.Despite all these socio-economic problems among the Malaysian Indians, very strong young minds like me are managing in a very highly compettitive manner to fight a big battle of my economic deppresion and so as other brothers and sisters from my community. We are sick and tired of of these imbalances that have become a major plague of the community.Personally I am very sad that I have to admit that I live like a stranger in my own country. My Indian neighbours successfully migrated to Australia and a good friend of mine just recently found his way in neighbouring Singapore securing a good salary and a decent flat after his business went down entirely. Infact even the business community is finding difficulties to run their business well because of governmental favouritism and pressures to give loyalties and equities to the muslim Malays whereby if we want to start a business we must have a Malay shareholder in order to run the business smooth or else we could imagine the fall of the business briefly or may not start at all. And besides most of projects, contracts, sub-contracts were given to the Malay firms. And here comes a far relative uncle of mine who is a typical Malaysian Indian but pretty intelligent grabbing the very demanding oppurtunities to befriend with his malay couterparts to get these small subcontracts where he earns millions of ringgits(Malaysian Dollar). So we could imagine how much the Malay firms are obtaining from a single project without doing anything but letting their subcontractors to do their stuffs. In a way its legal, but the irony is that the bigger fruit remains with them and as in for my uncle I feel he strikes jackpot in Malaysia eventhough being an indian origin.Perhaps this situation is very unlikely to continue for a very long time in my point of view. Besides enormous pressure is building up really high among the business community by which mainly monopolised by the Chinese. Its very obvious that the government is trying indirectly to destroy the Chinese monopoly over the economy and based upon my observation they have already succeeded, the damage is being done. The struggle for the Chinese have just started and I believe in no time the result might be very clear to analyse the total ground damge. When we talk about politics in Malaysia, its another major coverup and alot of fakings being done at the world arena.I seriusly feel that Malaysia is not eligible of critisising other countries about their mistakes or foreign policies while the government here could not even handle the already deteriorating living condition of its own minority population. In fact Malaysian government is still defending its fake identity of so called embracing secular democratic islamic country. When we talk of democracy there should be an absolute freedom for each and single citizen of a country without any sort of favouratism or racial segregation. In fact I dont know how much of trouble I might be facing for writing this comment because we are not allowed to voice out anything about race, the so-called national unity, the malay-rights and the government in many different aspects. It will be classified as a treason against the sovereignity of the country and the King immediately by which the person is subjected to severe punishment. Malaysian government, in another word, is the biggest bully in the entire wide world I've ever seen. I am voicing out not just my frustation here, I am urging all the indian communities in Malaysia to work harder to migrate to other countries where we could find progressive and prosperous life elsewhere.I know its hard, but this is the fate and we know for a very long time the fact that we are left abandoned in our very own country and of course when it comes to patriotism, its a big problem that can never be solved throughout our life. But nevertheless how long we could live this life pretending that everything is fine and pretending that we live harmonically with all races peacefully side by side when there is a big imbalance of justice where an entire nation's wealth is unequally consumed unilaterally by one race and leaving nothing for us at the end of the day. Dont we as a human supposed to have the so called dignity? In another word,we need to find ways to get out of this oppresion of living like in exile in our own country. And as in for our history,The British people will always be accounted for this injustice for bringing our community to suffer in Malaysia although this was carried out 100 years ago.
