Detectives on Saturday arrested the 12-year-old brother of Leila Fowler on "Charges of homicide" in connection with the 8-year-old girl's death, Calaveras County, California, Sheriff Gary Kuntz said.

After the girl's death, police said she and her brother were home alone on Saturday, April 27, when the boy said he saw an intruder leaving the house.

Police said he told them he found his sister stabbed and severely wounded. She died minutes after arriving at the hospital, authorities said. Ref. CNN
