At first thought, I reckoned-no surprise there then, but looking further into it, the guy seems to genuinely love his wife, and it doesn't seem to have been about gaining a green card at all.
The guy was born with 2 genders, but given a male birth certificate, when he stated that he thought he would be given 2 birth certificates, I can see where he's coming from on this, because he's left not really knowing whether he should be male or female, and somebody has made that decision for him!
He also states that he can't have sexual intercourse because 'nothing works'--poor guy, I feel sorry for him, and I feel it's no wonder he's feeling mixed up and confused, but it does seem very unfair to not let him be with his wife because 'same sex' marriages are illegal in Wisconsin-- especially as all states have different rulings, it probably wouldn't have been an issue elsewhere in the States.

But its not really a same sex marriage if his birth certificate says male and nothing has changed. They are essentially being penalized for how he was born. He has a decent discrimination case to file in my opinion. He has male parts, he has a birth certificate saying he is male. This is so completely wrong.
