I listened the president today when he commissioned the new air craft carrier the Gerald Ford. I think he did a good job on his speech and said some very good things. Every president has been a bit different and that is some of what we need. I think this current president is doing what he needs to do.
I agree KN. I'm actually working today and we have a TV in the lunch room. I happened to hear President Trump and I went in to listen for a bit. He did a good job and said the things that needed saying. Like any president I agree with some of what he says and does and I disagree with some. I just hope even the things I disagree with work out for the best for the good of the country and the good of my kids. But there are those that he fails miserably just because they don't like him… and a lot of what they don't like him for is manufactured BS and stuff taken out of context by the Democrats because politics is a blood sport and the Democrats play it every bit as hard as the Republicans and have no problem using character assassination as a weapon.
Should Trump be impeached? Americans are evenly split on the matter, USA TODAY/iMediaEthics Poll finds. While no serious effort is now underway in Congress to impeach President Trump, the results of a new USA TODAY/iMediaEthics Poll finds Americans are split down the middle, 42%-42%, over whether President Trump should be removed from office. Just six months into Trump's administration, the findings underscore how quickly political passions have become inflamed both for and against him. A third of those surveyed say they would be upset if Trump is impeached; an equal third say they would be upset if he's not. Ref. USAToday.
Uhm, first it doesn't matter what an opinion poll says regarding whether our president should be impeached. Second, he has to actually commit and be convicted (Wrong term for an impeachment but close enough) an impeachable offense. And third, Congress would then have to actually remove him.
President Donald Trump returned to the campaign stage Tuesday, holding a rally in Youngstown, Ohio, where he defended his unconventional approach as necessary to change the country for the better.
"It is much easier to act presidential than what we are doing here tonight, believe me," Trump said. "With the exception of the late, great Abraham Lincoln, I can be more presidential than any president that's ever held this office."
The rally came as Trump's administration remains steeped in turmoil over his criticism of Attorney General Jeff Sessions and upheaval in his White House's communications department. In his sixth campaign rally as president, returning to the campaign trail marked a reprieve from the conflict in Washington.
"I'm back in the American heartland far away from the Washington swamp," he said. Ref. CNN.
Someone needs to bridle Trump but I'll bet no one can, he has loads of money and now loads of power so he must feel invincible right now.

I think he is still trying to do some of the things he promised to do. I think he is seeing just how crooked Washington really is and it can boggle the mind. Yes the swamp needs drained but just how can one do it? That is the big question. I do not think the president can but the people can. I think Trump will need to get more people behind him so he can do this.
