Poking My Belly Button

Why does Poking My Belly Button hurt more than when I poke other parts of my body?

Button Belly Poking

Funny--I have wondered that before too. Unfortunately I don't know the answer. Unless it is not painful to others, I guess I could just be weird. undecided.gif

Poking My Belly Button Health & Special Psychology

I will just say consider this you are poking the only spot where a thin membrane passed through your muscle and skin tissue to deliver nutrients to your body. Upon birth that tub is cut and tied so it heals. That is to say the spot now is just scar tissue with little behind it. I would also think the original tube was sensitive to pressure on it to keep you as a baby from pinching it off. So there likely is a lot of nerves there also. Just my thoughts on it.
