I don't know. Depends on if we knew each other before he asked me out. Depends on how much time we had spent together before hand as friends. I knew my husband for six months before we went on a date and kissed, so it was a deep, long, meaningful kiss.

Every situation is different. A sweet, quick kiss at the end of a first date with someone that you've never met, but would like to go out with again would be approriate.
