Jehovah Witness' Jesus - Page 2

I am a Jehovah's Witness!

Jesus is God's means of salvation, but he is not God. See what God's word the Bible has to say.

international QUOTE
(Acts 17:30-31) 30 True, God has overlooked the times of such ignorance, yet now he is telling mankind that they should all everywhere repent. 31 Because he has set a day in which he purposes to judge the inhabited earth in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed, and he has furnished a guarantee to all men in that he has resurrected him from the dead."

Colossians 1:13 He delivered us from the authority of the darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of his love, 14 by means of whom we have our release by ransom, the forgiveness of our sins. 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation;

The hope of living forever on earth transformed into a paradise is not to be taken lightly. Don't take my word for it, look up these scriptures in our own copy of the Bible.
international QUOTE
(Psalm 37:26-29) All day long he is showing favor and lending, And so his offspring are in line for a blessing. 27 Turn away from what is bad and do what is good, And so reside to time indefinite. 28 For Jehovah is a lover of justice, And he will not leave his loyal ones. To time indefinite they will certainly be guarded; But as for the offspring of the wicked ones, they will indeed be cut off. 29 The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it.
(2 Peter 3:13) But there are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell.
(Revelation 5:10) and you made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they are to rule as kings over the earth."
The thought that every one that gains God's favor goes to heaven is  not supported by the Bible.

Comments: JWs believe Jesus' heavenly rule commenced 1914. They originally thought that he would come in a big way but he didn't so they said he came invisibly. There are things that don't add up though. For instance in 1914 the original Watchtower claimed that Jesus' rule commenced 1874 and predicted that in 1914 Armageddon would destroy all the other religions on the planet and the resurrection would happen. They can't get their dates right and can't get the true character of Jesus right either.

Jehovah Witness' Jesus Revealed Bible The

Yep, that pretty much sums up what the Witnesses think about Jesus. Its more like reading about a Greek myth than the Jesus we have come to love in the Bible.
