Do you think that your government should give a tourist visa to someone who served time for being a Pedophile? What if the crime was 20 or 30 years ago?

First of all, we should understand that a Pedophile and a Sexual offender are two different things. A Pedophile feels attracted to children but not necessarily committed a crime. By the other hand, a sexual offender did committed and many times these sexual offenders are also Pedophiles.

Now, having said that I do not think we should stop a Pedophile from traveling but if such Pedophile is also a Sexual offender or promote himself as such, then along with his/her visa certain notes should be written for the authorities of the countries he/she visits so they can be aware of what type of person they are allowing to enter their country and put into place the necessary measures.

That is a very tough one as from what understand these personality types very seldom reform to "normality". To visit is one thing I guess but definitely not for permanent residence. I am unsure what one could do to keep an eye on them but their location should be reported to local authorities and perhaps a parole style monitoring can be placed on them.
