Woman Whose Parents Tried to Force Abortion Charged With Prostitution
Portland, ME (LifeNews.com) -- The saga of Katelyn Kampf, the 20-year-old woman whose parents tried to force her to New York City for an abortion continues. Just days after she appeared on a national television program to tell her side of the story, Kampf was arrested on outstanding prostitution charges. Kampf was arrested on several warrants after she failed to appear in court for a summons issued in October. The warrant came after police conducted a sting operation at a local hotel in Portland, Maine. Police say Kampf was slated to appear in court on December 4 on the prostitution charge, but made an appearance a week later on ABC's "Good Morning America" instead to talk about how her parents tried to make her have an abortion. As LifeNews.com has reported, Kampf's parents Nicholas and a acknowledged their guilt to lesser charges but escaped jail time on the more serious violations.
