Ring Of Thieves - Page 9

I get the feelin that if we do not win these battles then we are toast. Maybe the protection elixir would have been better for this? Okay use the luck point and like dark said --> roll really good!

Thieves Ring

With our bravest heart we lunge into battle knowing we must not fail for the sake of our dear Patricia. The first thug thrust but his aim was poor (5) and we parried it but he was not so fortunate as our sword some how managed to make a very messy but non the less effective blow(6). Turning quick we see the second grey attacking almost as if he was moving in slow motion(6). We easily almost without thought turn his blade while sinking our sword deeply in his heart(15). Our love is running deep and our blood boiling with anger at these wretch who dared to lay hands on out lady.

The sword seemed to stick and was hard to pull out and the third bandit manages to get the drop on us and slashes our side (10) we strict back but to no avail(7). Weakened by the blow we spy the second wretch standing before us and instinctively our sword jumps at its prey (6) who attempts to parley the strike but to his dismay he fails.(3)

Two thieves dispatched you pant ponder if you will be able to over come this leader and you spot the last fellow pondering his move.

Desperate you lung at the leader knowing if he falls you just may see the sun set this day. With a yell you dig deep and strike (11) the leader parries (10) but he is to slow and you feel you blade bite deep. Both weakens but determined your blades clash you strike for his open side (8) and again he is slow (5) and you score yet again. A sudden pain causes your arm to flinch as you place your next strike (4) The leader ceases the moment and lands his blow(5). The leaders dagger yet again flashes in the light(5) seeing it you doge and strike a back blow (6) panting you watch him drop.

With one Grey suit left, blood spattered across your face and your wounds bleeding. (please note we were very lucky but are now down to 1 dice the one we chase has two) You stare at him, waving your weapon eagerly.

He runs into the street, knocking aside a cart of clay bells as he does so. You follow, leaping over the mess and sliding madly on the icy streets! he ducks into another alley, and you scramble to your feet and chase him down.

The alley is empty.

You see the possible exits. One leads north to a dead end and a climbable wall. The second leads west towards an open window and the third twists away to the east; turning quickly again beyond your field of vision.

Well we are alive barely. I would like to know if any would like to use that potion you bought? Also do we go north and climb the wall?(77) or west to the window (42)? or shall we head to the curving alley way(62)?

The Dice Master says...

Swallow the elixir and lets head north and climb the wall hoping that at the same time it is not a dead end trap.

Why risk going to a dead end? Let's see what the east has first, the open window seems too easy.

Good rolling!

Use the potion and to avoid another hung vote by saying we should go through the windown I will say lets head to the curving alley way east.

Drinking the potion we feel stronger (rolled a six so all lost die from last battle are restored).

Rushing to the window to open it while there is still a chance of catching him in the next room! As you approached you noticed the curtain flapping out of it. Peering inside you stare in shock as you see a woman and two men gently caressing a ...

Oops, You've stumbled onto a brothel. Red faced, you go back to try another route.

having lost time due to this error you think there still may be a chance the last Grey suit has left a trail.

So do we go with JB North to the Dead end?(77) or do we head down that Alley curving out of sight.(62). Thanks Hunter for splitting the tie. If we do get stuck in a 3 way tie in the future I could roll a die to see which way we go.
