I think that it is true that the early Jehovah witnesses beliefs come from the writings and thoughts of Russell.
Interestingly, a few Jehovah's witnesses have told me that although Russell did predict the end of the world in 1914,1915 and 1918, they state that in those years the wicked works of Adolf Hitler were going on, so they claim that Russell wasn't entirely wrong as the world was changed beyond recognition within these years!
