Antonia Introduction

Under stars spread across a velvet night the stage is set. Red damask curtains rustle in the breeze, bums shift in seats; the show is about to begin. . .

*Drumroll please. . . .*

With the squeak of a rusted pulley the curtains jerk apart to reveal a young woman standing on the buckled floorboards of the stage. After a nervous shuffle she clears her throat and begins to speak, tremulously at first but with growing confidence as she plays her part for the audience.

"Ahem. . . good evening everyone. My name is Antonia. I have come to this board with the hope of rediscovering RPG. I started roleplaying about five years ago when a friend of mine joined a play by post Harry Potter board. I found I really enjoyed writing online and getting those creative juices flowing! It's been a while since I last had the pleasure of being a member of a board but I've participated in a few. My favorite was a young Pirates of the Caribbean board where I managed to play two characters at once and rope a few friends into playing. But I've been out of the game for too long now. I've had cravings for a good text based RPG but whenever I searched for one I ended up feeling frustrated. I'd go to one site after the other looking for something that was mature enough with a decent amount of members without reams and reams of research that needed to be done before hand."

*Antonia paces the stage, glancing up now and then to cast her searching gaze over the audience."

"But today I stumbled across this site, which instantly attracted me! It was the warning signs for preppy joke writers who think a post consists of a three liner. What's got to be one of the most annoying things when RPGing is being a member of a board where you feel like you are doing all the work in a thread because the other players are just not on the same literary level. That's why I'm here. The notice says you have to be serious. I want to see if I'm up to par!"

*With a cheeky smile and a wink to Mr. dark and handsome in the front row, Antonia skips off to stage right*

3. Writer's Paradise: For for those who prefer well thought out storylines where the players are more mature then keep reading below:
You need to make 30 Constructive Posts as a test to see how well you can participate in our Text Based Games, so get started now by selecting a Board and giving your input.

4. Share Book RPG: This is the EASIEST type of RPG to get involved in because it only takes you joining in a Thread with a current Book Scenario and giving your vote in which direction a character should move.

Hi there!

Thank-you for your reply. I am interested in gaining entry to Writers Paradise please. I am working on getting those thirty posts done so that I am eligible. I can't wait! But I will have a look at the other ones that you mentioned so I can get a better idea about how things work overall.

Welcome aboard. I hope you will be consistent as we have had many wannabe RPGers come through here that could not finish an adventure. I hope you will break the trend. There is actually a scenario in the Medieval Extension Board where they are awaiting a player.

Your are a welcome site among us here who could not complete an adventure . perhaps with a great new leader like your self us thick skulled warriors will have a chance.

More importantly though there are many great boards and I look forward to seeing you around. Drop by the Ring of Thieves we could you some more input on that one.
