Robert Lazar, Hoaxer?

What are your thoughts about Robert Lazar's admittance of working in a top secret program for the US government concerning UFO's. Is he the real thing or a hoaxer?

international QUOTE
Bob Lazar claims to have worked with alien spacecraft at a secret you.S. Government facility at Papoose Lake, about 80 miles north of Las Vegas. Lazar intially made his claims on a local Las Vegas television station in Nov. 1989. He says he worked at a facility called "Area S-4" at Papoose Dry Lake, south of the known government air base at Area 51, in late 1988 and early 1989. There he says he saw nine flying saucers housed in hangars built into a hillside. Lazar says he had hands-on experience with one of the craft and he can describe its propulsion system in detail. Lazar says he read briefing papers about the alien presence but that he saw no aliens himself (aside from a fleeting glimpse of a small figure through a window at the facility).

Hoaxer Lazar Robert

If your interested in getting right to the interview skip past the first 5 minutes of the first video. The first five minutes is mostly setting the scene or talking about his background.

Thank you JB, here is another link to a video about Bob Lazar willingly taking a lie detector test, and some weird facts pointing to a government cover up on his past. Source 4
Again I would skip 3 minutes into the video. The first three minutes is really strange and just talks about UFO's in general. The news report talks about the hospital were he was born denying he was even born there among other things.

Robert Lazar, Hoaxer? UFO & Writing Art Education Sciences

I remember Bob Lazar's name from when aliens, UFOs and stuff was big during the 90's, with X-Files and Communion and everything, and for about a year, he captured everyone's attention - then people began looking into his stories, and it all started looking like Swiss cheese. Of course, he'd say, that was part of the conspiracy, to discredit him, but the closest credential I recall he had that came close to his claims was he was a civilian janitor or data entry person or something at a military base. I'm not sure HOW he is still relevant about 20 years later. Shouldn't he be dead by now, with the Shadow Government wanting to kill him for trying to let the Truth be known, for all these years?

international QUOTE
[At his new home in rural New Mexico, Lazar has been working on a conversion kit that will turn any car into a hydrogen hybrid. His two vehicles have already been converted and can travel up to 450 miles on hydrogen, then switch automatically back to gasoline. Lazar wants to take it a step further.

Lazar said, "Every major car company is working on a hydrogen system, but the only difference is, they want to sell you a new hydrogen car and sell you hydrogen gas at hydrogen gas stations. Basically, we're making a conversion kit you can use in your own car and instead of buying hydrogen from someone else, you make it."

He makes hydrogen using water and a solar powered generator. But again, with a Lazar twist. "It's the only particle accelerator on the block, I guarantee ya."

The small lab behind his home has a 30-foot long particle accelerator he built from scratch. He uses it to produce metal hydrides, which absorb hydrogen gas like a sponge and make it much safer to use as a fuel.

Lazar says, "You can do that with ordinary metal hydrides but we found a way to manipulate the atomic structure to change things. It's worked fantastically."

George Knapp teases, "It almost sounds like you're a real scientist."

Lazar replies, "That's what they tell me."

Quotes from Source 4

Yes there are some holes in his story. I wonder though if the government facilitated those holes. It is the kind of thing they would do I think. It is strange he isn't dead, then again maybe he has some bargaining chip we don't know about. Like a chunk of the element 115 that might appear if he dies mysteriously.

international QUOTE
Is there a way to prove any part of his story? Maybe. In 1989, Lazar claimed the ET saucers he worked on could produce their own gravity. This propulsion was made possible by a superheavy substance Lazar called Element 115. What is the problem with this story? Element 115 did not exist in 1989. Now, however, it does.

Scientists at the Lawrence Livermore Lab created a miniscule amount of 115 last year. A profound development, but the material decayed almost instantly. So where did the government get 500 pounds of the stuff, which is what Lazar claimed long ago?
