Teachers cry foul over rule change
Teachers are fighting to exclude their private lives - such as personal postings on Internet sites Bebo and Facebook - from falling foul of new serious misconduct rules.

I think there are already some pretty strict rules in place but perhaps they do need to be reviewed to include internet behavior of a teacher. This might include public nudity , sexual acts on internet and such items that would tie into the guide lines already set. But pretty much once off duty they should have some freedom as long as it falls into those guidelines. After all they are in charge of adolescents. The same rules should be applied to all who look after the underage.
As a teacher you are responsible for the teaching of our youth how to act and behave in a social setting as well as give them a education in history, english, math and other subjects. If you are perverse on facebook, myspace or any other internet site it is going to come back to you. How can anyone feel safe about you teaching their kids right from wrong if you yourself do not lead a good life?
