Some people use "Pimp" to infer meaning to something, Is Pimp A Good Word?

I wouldn't use the word 'pimp' for any other description, than what it is normally associated with, and that is prostitution.
I don't particularly think that it's a nice word when it's in its normal use, so I wouldn't go looking to see how else I could use the word!

What DianeC said is exactly what I think. I believe teeny boppers are taking basic words and using them like adjectives for all kinds of reasons and marketers just capitalize on it by reusing the word to sell something. I wonder if our youth really understand the meaning of the word (similar to this is how 'stud' is used).

Word Good Pimp Is
Subcultures often take a word of negative connotation and change the meaning to a positive one, thus differentiating themselves from the dominant culture. This also works in reverse for example: liberal or gay. The N word has probably under gone the greatest change: from the plantation owner's use, to one African-American referring to another as " My ________".
