Non-Reflecting Boundary Conditions for Unbounded Elastic Domains
Science Advancement
Unbounded domains are often encountered in various fields of applied mechanics and engineering. Solving boundary-value problems in unbounded domains using analytic tools is sometimes relatively easy and convenient. However, analytic tools are not adequate when inhomogeneous media or non-linear effects are involved, or when a complex geometry bounds the domain internally.
