What a wonderful story. It is nice to see he found Jesus Christ in his life and is now a member of the Church.

An American Fork man who poses as Jesus for religious paintings says his looks eventually helped bring him to religion. Philip Miner often gets long stares from children. It's because he's got long hair a beard and looks a lot like what people believe Jesus Christ looked like. So, it was natural for local artist Liz Swindle to use him as a model. But when he went to Africa to pose for paintings, his attitude towards religion completely turned around. "They were saying, "Ah, he says he's Philip, but we know he's Jesus.' Then they began crying and weeping," Miner said. He says after receiving a blessing and seeing the children react, he decided it was time to find Jesus in his own life. He now attends an LDS ward in American Fork. |
