Gilbert the whale dead on beach

If only cuttle fish are there one has to question why the whale came in to start with. Could the squid in the entire area where it normally fed be gone? Still it is a shame and a loss for the locals for a tourist attraction.

Just a thought did the whale swim in when the nets were out then get trapped and had no choice to try and get through the nets to eat as it was trapped on the wrong side of the nets.
