What are your thoughts about Sri Lanka Cricket: the players, their strengths, weaknesses, etc.?

Since Sri Lanka won the Cup in 1996, they have been serious contenders. They have yet to win the cup again, but they have won two ICC trophies in 2002 and 2004. I have notice they occassionally have some very sloppy fielding, but they have some of the best bats in the game right now. I don't expect that they will be anything but competitive for some time to come. They put consistently good teams on the field season after season. Now I haven't been a fan too long, but they are one of my favorite teams along with the India team. I know, its like having the Bulls as my favorite team during Jordans reign, but there isn't any good cricket teams in the states.
