AIRPORTS DUMPING TOOTHPASTE, LIP GLOSS AND WINE
Loads of liquid goods discarded by airline passengers at security checkpoints will end up in the trash, not in the pockets of airport employees or others, officials at airports across the country promised Friday.

First off, this is really silly. They are making sure to protect us from the dangers of lip gloss and toothpaste? I sure am tired of time and money being wasted on pointless laws and rules that have no real value in and of themselves. But what point does it really make if they through away every thing? Perfectly good stuff is being thrown away and not used, what a waste.
What is reassuring, is knowing this cannot last. I know that most women (and very likely men too) will not be happy with the clear plastic bag rule. I certainly won't travel if my wallet, passport, travel documents and sanitary items have to be kept in a place any pickpocket can see!
What is next? As one woman is quoted as saying in the article, ""I assume before too long we'll be naked on the plane"?
After all... there are women's bras which contain silicone gel or water 'cutlets'. Are our underwear to be routinely inspected at security checkpoints, too?
TRAVELLERS MAY BE LEFT OUT OF POCKET
Travellers forced to put iPods, cellphones, laptops and other expensive electronic gear in their airline luggage may be left out of pocket if their possessions are damaged or lost.

A lot of people are starting to guess about what can and cannot be carried on a plane, here is a list:

What's allowed on planes, what's not? Since announcing what's allowed in passenger cabins, the TSA has clarified some of its policies... Thank god that someone thought of this sooner! Who knows what dastardly deeds could have been done with hair gel and lotion/cream?
Really, this is ridiculous. There is nothing on that list that could be used as a weapon or be seen as dangerous. This is just more silly restrictions to give the impression that something worth while is being done to protect us. They took over a plane with box cutters! How are restricting sun tan lotions on a plane going to do any good?
