News agencies report that teens are snorting, smoking, drinking and eating large amounts of nutmeg, a spice traditionally used for holiday baking, in an effort to get high. Here are facts about getting high on nutmeg and more teen drug use resources.
I can't help but wonder if this is a strong argument for the legalization of marijuana. I mean kids are always trying to get high. When your a kid its fun, thats what kids do a lot of the time. I am not saying it's right but lets be realistic. Many kids experiment with drugs and like to do them.
At least if marijuana was legal they would have a safe outlet for that energy. Marijuana is not lethal, it is hardly addictive, it doesn't put the user into a rage, wears off after a fairly short period of time, on and on.
Using nutmeg as a way to get high is stupid. So is all kinds of drug use. However would you rather have your kid smoking marijuana or possibly dieing from all these other harmful drugs?
When I say your kids, I'm not implying that your kids do drugs. I am just saying imagine if they did.
I'm like totally confused. Are we discussing nutmeg or marijuana? I'll go with the title. I did an essay on this last year. The drug in nutmeg is myristicin. It gives a slow high but it causes major drawbacks after like dizziness and hangovers but I wouldn't know cause I ain't no nut junkie.
