Though it is not my place to speak necessarily within this thread. I like to quote Jesus when he said,
Maybe I understand what you're saying but on the other side maybe I don't. I guess because of your example. Jesus was in his own country and didn't go anywhere else to preach. The verse you quoted was about whether taxes should of been paid to Caesars whether it was fair or not. Basically Jesus confirmed that we do have to follow the rule of law.
Yes he did say to follow the law, but like I said. This was not the complete truth he was conveying. He was also stating to follow God's law, and asking you to use your own reason on which was which.
I don't think he was speaking only of tax law, that would be pretty ordinary. When Jesus spoke he spoke anything but ordinary.
I don't want to cause a problem for myself here I love this community. I will say my response would be the same though, and leave it at that. I apologize for stepping into your thread without full knowledge of your doctrine I just wanted to add what I thought helpful knowledge.
Crime rates of undocumented immigrants spark debate between lawmakers, police chief
Sunday morning on KSL's Sunday Edition, Rep. Carl Wimmer, R-Herriman, cited numbers showing a huge amount of crime by those of Hispanic ethnicity. The statistic compares homicide arrest rates in the capital city in 2008, but some say it's all about how you interpret the numbers. Ref. Source 3
It seems like the new Arizona law is causing the missionaries to be rejected and treated badly because state Senator Russell Pearce, a Republican from Mesa and sponsor of Arizona's tough new immigration law, is a Mormon.
I think we all can agree this particular law is controversial but to blame someone from trying to FOLLOW one of our articles of faith which clearly tell us we believe in honoring the law is beyond me. Why would illegal immigrants get angry at all when they're the ones clearly in the wrong? Why would legal immigrants support people going to the US illegally? Beyond ridiculous.
