Druids, the real ones I am talking about, follow the same trends of the hippie culture from what I read. You know peace with nature, living natural and things like that. I don't mean that as an insult to anyone I am just comparing the similarities.
I would love to be a druid or druidess I guess its called? To be one with nature and feel a kinship with all life.
I believe druids in the sense of living one with nature do exist but to say they have some kind of magical powers over nature is a bit too far fetched for my mind. There are also eccentric druids who think they cannot talk to other humans because they are one with nature - well humans are part of nature as well.
I think of the magic of nature when I think of Druids, not only in Dungeons & Dragons but in general. As much as I call myself an atheist, I can't help but feel there may be some kind of 'energy' within nature that keeps it going. I believe nature will be here, even after we are all gone.
There are true nature lovers that I think are also true druids. They do not necessarily conform to any religious ideals but they know how to respect mother nature.
