Cwahsheh Introduction Introductions & Member Sharing
Thanks, LDS. I have really enjoyed the site so far. There is so much to read through.
So, why do I love Nascar so much? My father loved the races. He was a huge Dale Earnhardt fan and watched the races on tv. He took me to short dirt tracks when I was younger. It was a way for us to connect. It still is a way for us to connect. If there is ever any tension between us we can always talk about Nascar.
I recently went to my first Nascar race at the Texas Motor Speedway in Dallas. I was like a kid in a candy store. I couldn't stop smiling. Even despite the slight temporary hearing loss, it was the greatest thrill. You don't truly realize the speed until you go see a race in person. When the
cars are starting up in a pack and go by, the noise causes your chest to rattle. My goal is to see a race at every track that Nascar goes to. It's a long term goal, obviously, since my budget won't allow me to take off for 10 months to see the races. But hopefully I can go to a race a year. The next race I want to see is in Bristol, Tennesse. It's a small concrete track and the races provides lots of opportunities for crashes. That's why my fiance wants to go. He wants to see bent up race
cars. I just want to see Jeff Gordon hopefully win the race.
Thanks again LDS for the welcome. I look forward to joining in on more discussions.
