This is why I don't take statements with an ounce of credibility anyone telling me they're a catholic, JW, Christian or whatver. They could be statnist for all I care and this woman was definitely one of those beasts diguised as one of the sheep. I have to ask though, no one ever visited this house in 19 years?

Don, according to the judge even though she tortured them in the way it is described in this thread the injuries (according to him) were not as serious as other cases where lesser sentences had been imposed.

It seems like this judge needs to revise what this beast put these children through! Instead of 14 years, she will serve 12. Whether 14 or 12, this woman deserved the DEATH PENALTY as far as I am concerned!

Wondering why it was so long before anyone took notice? Human Services are stretched. They are not getting the funding and support they once had. I am not excusing them, because this heinous crime should have been stopped long ago. I also know that in Australia, foster parents are needed desperately and I know they are paid, which makes me believe that some of the foster parents out there are only looking at the monthly cheque. Obviously a complete over-haul needs to be done to look after our children...

I have recently just finished reading the auto biography of Child C I.e. Christopher the eldest boy. In his account he states that Eunice used to take the children on Jehovas Witness conventions and in the lead up to them she would allow them to have proper meals and stop the beatings so that the children would look like any other child off the street. According to his book child C only remembers one man ever visiting them at home, he was a farmer who lived near by and helped out occasionally on the farmhouse. All of the neighbors, relatives and friends never witnessed any violence and the children were always immaculately turned out in public. Eunice could control her temper around certain people. On a 6 week long trip to florida with her mother, father and ex partner along with the children she never laid a finger on the kids even going as far as to kiss and cuddle them to keep up the pretences.

Eunice once locked Karen and Christopher (the youngest daughter and eldest son) in a room for a whole month, only occasionally feeding them bread and water, and if the children were looking a little too thin she would give them a tin of meatballs. Now obviously this food and water has to go somewhere and the children weren't allowed out of the room at all and there fore had to do their business in a corner of the room. On one occasion Eunice went ballistic at finding faeces in the corner and ordered both children to eat it. Karen refused and had her face scrubbed into it, Christopher seen the violence Karen took and while retching ate a mouthful. Eunice then turned on her heals and left them locked in the room for a few days more. What I don't understand is even if you don't like the child who or what could do such even things to innocent defencless beings.

Wow, my goodness I am reading this with so much horror in my mind that I am just speechless CuriousKim. Can anyone be this evil? The fact that she went through pretending, etc seems to me that this woman is not mentally ill but just pure evil. Oh my gosh, how are the kids now? Any updates? Thanks.

Well at the end of the book Child C I.e. Christopher is fine but still needing alot of counselling for emotional scars, Karen who is Child B is the child who was in the wheel chair is walking (but just to clarify, doctors said she would of been able to walk after the accident if she had been given physio, that is how Eunice kept her wheel chair bound, by not allowing her to have the treatment) and Child A which is also known as Mary Beth or Lulu is now a mother to a little girl and moving on happily with her life. Eunice was found guilty of 26 of 38 charges brought against her some of them was of a sexual abusive nature but because of lack of evidence she was found not guilty. I'm not sure if the accident that child B was involved in was made public in that accident she had 2 broken legs and broken shoulder 3 breaks in her spine and a broken neck it is clearly a miracle that she survived that alone, however she did lose 2 of her foster sister Judith, Eunice's biological daughter and Charlotte, the eldest foster daughter. I read alot of books of this type of storyline, I sometimes wonder why I read them because they are all true and are all pure evil locked in pages, but I like to think it gives me some kind of awareness to what is out there and maybe one day it would help me protect my kids from that kind of evil if needed.
