Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act (CALEA)

Have you ever heard of CALEA? Outside the US I would say most likely not. Even most US Citizens do now know what rights they do or do not have when it comes to their privacy. What do your communication carriers know about your rights that you don't? You may have even heard of Lawful interception. That is a big way to say that they are tapping your telephone. But it doesn't stop at your phone. Instant messages, text messages, e-mails, web sites, ect. The sky is the limit as far as what they can and will obtain about you.

I have been researching this specifically because a good friend of mine got the idea to open a cable company several years ago in his small town and with his hard work and my efforts in some areas we are now adding internet to the service list.
