DOUGHNUT SHOPS NEXT FRONT IN TRANS-FAT WAR
When he first started frying up all-natural doughnuts a dozen years ago, Mark Isreal had a tough time getting consumers to bite. After all, who counts calories before grabbing a jelly-filled with their morning cup of coffee?

Hey, if it can still serve as a delicious sugar delivery vehicle, I would eat a few. My only request is that whatever oil you use to fry the donut, please try to make sure that it doesn't coat the inside of my mouth with what feels like a layer of lard. If they can master that trick, I am on board with healthy donuts!
It's good that food companies are trying hard to find a healthier option.
At the end of the day, it's your own choice if you want to cut down on your calorie intake or not, and at least by promoting a healthier product, it's going part way for people who want to cut the calories without losing the taste!
