| NEW BRITAIN, Conn. -- Police affidavits graphically detail allegations against two men charged with sexually assaulting children. Channel 3 Eyewitness News reporter Heather Hegedus reported the allegations detailed in the court documents are very graphic and disturbing. Police described the evidence they seized from the New Britain home of Jeffrey Brisson, 29, and Harold Spurling, 39, in the affidavits obtained by Eyewitness News. Both men face charges that date as far back as eight years ago and involve children. Acting on a tip, police served a search warrant on Wednesday at an apartment in the 200 block of Washington Street in New Britain, forcing their way in because police said the men wouldn't let them inside. The affidavit says: "After a considerable amount of time ... entry was forced by breaching the outer door ... Jeffrey Brisson was standing in the doorway ... and blocked the entrance to the home with his body. Brisson was subsequently forced to the ground and placed under arrest." When police finally did get inside, officers said they discovered "deplorable conditions," according to the affidavit. The affidavit says officers found "food ... in various stages of decay on the floors and furniture throughout the apartment. Pornographic material were strewn about the apartment in plain sight ... the odor of urine, feces and decaying food was prominent inside the home, contributing to an obvious neglect for the welfare of the child. A bottle of baby formula was found inside the home on the floor next to a litter box overflowing with feces." Because of those conditions alone, the men were charged with risk of injury to a child. Police said the men were trying to encrypt evidence on their computer. "The two accused knew the police were outside and were refusing to allow access into the apartment," New Britain police Sgt. Darren Pearson said. "It's believed that they were trying to dispose of the evidence, start the encryption process while the police officers waited outside. The officers forced entry and went inside." During the police search, officers said they recovered, among other things, a video file of a 3-month-old baby girl. By the clothes she and the men were wearing, it seems the video was shot the same day. "When they looked on the desktop, there was an icon that they believed depicted child pornography," Pearson said. "Upon further examination of that video clip, they determined that Mr. Brisson had sexually assaulted that 3-month-old, that infant that was on scene." Geek, that's right. These bastards prey on those who cannot defend themselves neither can testify against them. No matter how much I think about it, it is just beyond me how can ANYONE feel "pleasure" of watching an infant being sexually assaulted! What kind of monsters are out there? It is truly scary. I don't leave my kids out of my sight for ANY period of time, no matter where or with whom I am.
