Optimization Complete

To make everything run faster without much delay we have done the following:

1. There will be no more reminders for RPGs or Feedback, etc. However, because there will no longer be RPG reminders see #2.

2. Bank interest will now be given every 3-5 days rather than everyday.

3. We removed the flash chat option since it was never really utilized and it was replaced by the new Shout box which can be seen under the Navigation bar above. All Members can use it unlike before where only Upgraded Members could.

4. The Member Bar (the place where there are links to 'My Controls', etc.) just above the Navigation bar has been enhanced with better links.

5. The User Control Panel (where you edit your profile) has been updated so that you can better get options to everything. There is also a new option for the Shoutbox.

6. In place of where the old Flash Chat used to be will now be some new neat menu options (still to come).

7. Online sessions has been reduced to just a few minutes. We used to have it where you could see who was online for the last hour, but we have reduced it to just a few minutes. Therefore, checking the online list will just let you know what someone is immediately doing rather than what they were doing before.

8. Please do not fail to Email me if you encounter any problems.

THOUGHTS FROM ADMIN

If you tried to log on to the Community within the last couple of
days but encountered a slow load or a blank screen then we
do apologise. We had some technical issues that are resolved
/ being resolved. If you want details please see JB's Architect

Here are some important updates that you should be aware of:

1. You will notice the new top menu where you can see icons
for "My Friends" and "My Controls". Next to that are two different
kinds of Search options: "What's New" which shows Threads
you may not have seen yet and "What's Hot" which is all the
current active Threads.

2. When you have a new Private Message (PM) you will see
a red indicator in the top menu. If you have FireFox then the
indicator will also blink.

3. The Gallery uses a more efficent key system which tells you
the sections that have new Photos.

4. Users who have a 800x600 screen width may have been
unable to scroll on the X axis, this has been updated.

5. To free up the database and make things run a little faster
we deleted 560 members who joined, but were not active. If
you wish to keep your account ensure you post every now
and again.

6. You will also notice at the top of the Community a new
Shoutbox that allows you to post a message instantly. At the
moment it is in the test phase, but we may replace it in the
future with something more efficent.

7. On the online page you will only see about 10-15 minutes
of active users instead of 60 minutes as was done before. You
will also see a better recognition of spiders and bots.
