Joran's mother spoke and said her son is "sick in his head" and that he traveled to Peru to avoid being placed in a mental institution. Seems to me he is going to plead insanity. Good luck, isn't going to happen in Peru!

The only thing he is looking to do is get it out of the premeditated murder zone. If he successfully does that, it has a big impact on the length of his sentence in Peru. Although it does seem like we are getting probably a bit more of the truth since he has got to enjoy some of the finer Peruvian Penial Facitilites. He does have to be careful of how much he discloses on the Holloway case...he can still be tried for that one if he comes up with a body location and it wont matter if he is in Peru or Aruba...if he is convicted of killing Stephany, he will get nailed with Natalee's murder.
HOLD THE PHONE....
Apparently, he is now retracting all his confessions with the killing of Stephany:

Apparently, it must have sunk into his skull the amount of time that he was potentially signing up for in a Peruvian Jail and that apparently giving info on Natalee wasnt going to buy him much other than a lighter sentence when he get convicted in Aruba after finishing time in Peru.

Joran Van Der Sloot seems to fit the profile of a serial killer. Keep in mind these are the cases we know about there might be more to come to light once he starts sitting in jail with nothing to do.

It seems like Joran is going to plead guilty for reason of insanity, I have a hard time believing any Judge would believe that.

More drama with Joran Van Der Sloot. Apparently, not only he is abusing drugs in jail (anyone surprised?) but they are also linking him to the stabbing of three Peruvian inmates but hey, his lawyer says Joran goes to Church.

Joran van der Sloot pleaded guilty Wednesday to all charges against him in the killing of Peruvian Stephany Flores. "I am really sorry for what happened," he said. He pleaded guilty to "qualified murder" and simple robbery.
Police say van der Sloot killed Flores in his Lima hotel room in May 2010, then took money and bank cards from her wallet and fled to Chile, where he was arrested a few days later.
Van der Sloot was arrested twice, but never charged, in the 2005 disappearance of U.S. Teenager Natalee Holloway in Aruba. Ref. CNN
Joran van der Sloot, a key suspect in the 2005 disappearance of U.S. Teen Natalee Holloway, was sentenced Friday to 28 years in a Peruvian prison for the May 2010 murder of 21-year-old Stephany Flores.
The 24-year-old Dutch national confessed to the charges of "qualified murder" and simple robbery in Flores' death.
Investigators said they believed van der Sloot killed the Peruvian woman in his Lima hotel room after she found something related to the Holloway case on his computer.
Van der Sloot was among the last people seen with Holloway before she went missing on the island of Aruba. He was detained twice, but never charged, in the Alabama teenager's disappearance. Her body has never been found, but an Alabama judge signed an order Thursday declaring Holloway legally dead. Ref. CNN
He is getting married, yes unbelievably as it sounds this convicted killer met a woman in Peru and is getting married in June.
