This interrogation technique has been used for ages. Most who object to it doesn't understand how getting the truth out of a prisoner works.

How terrible on America to use 'torture' to extract information. Maybe they want us to use the same approach done in the middle east where they take a drill and put holes in you until you talk or die. Some things are evil but sometimes necessary unless you think the moment an extremist is captured they start to talk.

We actually put some service members through some pretty rough times back in my day. It was called SERE School. SERE stand for Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape. It was conditioning training in the event one got cut off behind lines and had to evade or how to resist and eventually escape if one was captured.
I used to hear people on the left saying that even if there was a nuclear bomb on a timer somewhere in the city that they wouldn't use torture to find out where it was… hogwash. Time to get back to reality!

It does not matter if you are for or against torture to include waterboarding. The only time it matters is when lives are on the line. Will the use of torture get you the correct information or just random information so you stop torturing the person?
See that is the main problem with torture. How reliable is the information? Threats, intense interrogations and even torture does not always give you the results you are looking for. There has to be other ways to get the truth out of a person without causing undue harm or stress.
I wish at times I had the answer but it is not something that is easy to figure out. You always see on movies and such of a truth serum. I wonder if that is something that is true or just fantasy. I think as we evolve as a species maybe some other way will be invented that will be more accurate and useful than current methods.
