RESEARCHER: NEW PASSPORTS VULNERABLE
Electronic passports being introduced in the United States and other countries have a major vulnerability that could allow criminals to clone embedded secret code and enter countries illegally, an expert warned.

These electronic passports are just in their beginning stages. Eventually, they will either have to evolve or stop using them. An electronic password that can be cloned is pretty worthless and doesn't really help anyone at all. I imagine they will have to invent a new type of encryption that cannot be clone. Actually, I think that already exists. It would be rather convenient to be able to use a card to track your countries instead of having to get one separate on for each country. Perhaps one with your picture on it as well would be better.
