Satyr Introduction

Hello, I'm here because I'm interested in superhero roleplaying. I originally played 2nd edition Champions about 25 years ago and, after a long break, have got the rpg bug again. I currently work as a volunteer in advice and guidance and am training to be a therapeutic counsellor.

Welcome. The Super Heroes RPG we have here is not based on the Champions system but a custom one. It has been halted mostly due to not being able to find a GM to run it. Everyone here seems to be into AD&D and science fiction those RPGs are active, not sure if you're into that genre. If you are serious and will like to GM or assist in getting our Super Hero RPG going though please let me know here.

Hi there Satyr. I know Superhero stuff is big on the net right now in general for some reason, and the guys here suggested superhero when I was considering GMing a game and asked what genre they wanted to play.

I only played Champions a few times, like the customization possible but find it extremely math and bookkeeping heavy, more than I like, so look toward simpler systems, and came across some more "dumbed down" (for and to me anyway) free systems like Super Crusaders (doesn't look like much but seems a solid enough system), and 4C (I think that's the name), and supposedly Marvel Heroes was also released free (not sure about that), but the one I've been seeing a lot is BASH, and would like to check it out, given the little free sneak peaks they've been giving, but it costs $15 just for the PDF, which seems pretty steep to me, as I bought the Feng Shui hardback book for that.

Anyway, my point is there is *some*, at least, interest in superhero gaming here, I'd be willing to try it too, not sure about the others, and the other thing you should know is a lot of the people here play in two or more RP's at the same time, which I'm sorta doing right now but am not used to, maybe it's me but it's hard to keep all that straight, and I have sites I spend time working on and forums I moderate so I don't know where people find the time.

Welcome to the forums. I know I am not all that familiar with Super hero RPGs and I was giving it a go in here. I know we need to have a good GM who really knows their way around a super hero RPG. Currently I am GMing a AD&D game if your interested in joining us there.
