Is this the place? by Dr. John L. Lund
Mesoamerica And The Book Of Mormon
This book is such a great piece of work. Dr. Lund (an already seasoned and experienced writer) has a way to explain things in such an easy manner that you are bound to remember the things you read. His experience on the field is manifested on this book. If you are interested in Mesoamerica culture (whether you are LDS or not) you are bound to purchase this book. It is a very informative book that touches different aspects of Mesoamerica from a historical point of view, to social, to Geography.
My favorite parts are the chapters that deal with historical records from Mesoamerica: Quetzalcoatl, Faith and Science, Geological Considerations as well as the maps Dr. Lund provides.
