Today I clicked a banner presented on this page leading me to a website of the Restored Church of God. I read an article about tithing and afterwards briefly looked through some other information. There were many interesting thoughts and similarities to what we learn in our Church that made me wonder perhaps this church is a dissent of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Its leader, David C. Pack does not mention any previous affiliation with the Church, though.
Any one here who has heard about this church?

I believe there have been many organizations that are borrowing from the Church's doctrine, either voluntarily or not. I think only recently there was a Thread started here where someone was trying to say that Joseph Smith's total role begins and ends with bringing out the Book of Mormon and nothing more. A lot of these closely resembling churches seem to focus on making the 'Gospel' seem more convenient. For instance - believe in the Book of Mormon but forget about Temple Ordinances. Love your family but do not make a way for them to be together and so forth.
That's certainly a twist on things but really its just like any other Christian church because we all do use the Bible. I even heard some familiar things from the 700 Club but of course there are the differences.
